lastic tubing systems are designed to be installed as trenches because they rely heavily upon sidewall area.  They have an advantage of being able to follow a contour more closely than other, more rigid systems.  Plastic tubing systems must meet the same sitting requirements as stone beds and must be installed as per the manufacturer's directions.
